Do I need to sign up for a HEAR?

No. As a matter of course, HEARs will be issued to all undergraduate students who are working towards a higher education qualification at Sheffield.

However, you are encouraged to consider how you can make the most of your HEAR, e.g. by doing extra-curricular activities that the University or its Students' Union can verify, to help you demonstrate wider experience and skills that may be useful/relevant to the sorts of activities you are interested in doing after university.
